Lesson 3 – Hadeeth of Jibreel – part 2

The section to memorise is up to the question about the Hour (Last Day) – the Prophet (sall Allaahu alaihi wa sallam) did not know when it was, nor did Jibreel.
Read the explanation and try the quiz. It is only 10 questions but it’s harder than you think!

Here is the last part of the long hadeeth to memorise for last week:

  1. As salaamu alaiki. Havin a hard time with the memorization. Need a cd with a slow reciter in sha Allah. Can anybody help me in sha Allah. I live in philly.

  2. Again on question 7 I found a problem because one of the correct answers is that it is impossible to tell which parts are true and which ones are false from the previously revealed scriptures, while we have the Quran to affirm what’s true in some revelation and other parts we just leave alone that we don’t know.

    1. Assalaamu alaikum wa rahamtullaahi wa barakaatah.
Jezaakillaahu khairan for your suggestion. I have changed the wording of the part you mentioned. The clarification is already highlighted on the home page and I will send out the clarification to the list tomorrow inshaa Allaah.
As a side note, it is certainly true to say, “If it’s confirmed in the Quraan then it is true, without doubt.” However, I do not think it is correct to say, “If it’s confirmed in the Quraan, then it must be the direct words spoken by Allaah without modification,” since not every true statement is the direct, unadulterated word of Allaah. I am sure we agree on that point inshaa Allaah but I have changed the wording of the part you mentioned just for clarity.
Once again, may Allaah reward you with good and please continue to send me corrections.
      Aalia
