Lesson 16 – Hadeeths 11&12 – Leaving doubtful and unnecessary matters

Last week was an opportunity to study Hadeeths 11 and 12. Hadeeth 11 must be the shortest hadeeth in the whole book, and Hadeeth 12 is not much longer. Here is the quiz for both of them (hope you find it an easy three minute task):

عَنْ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ خَادِمِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه و سلم عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه و سلم قَالَ: “لَا يُؤْمِنُ أَحَدُكُمْ حَتَّى يُحِبَّ لِأَخِيهِ مَا يُحِبُّ لِنَفْسِهِ“.

عَنْ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه و سلم “لَا يَحِلُّ دَمُ امْرِئٍ مُسْلِمٍ  إلَّا بِإِحْدَى ثَلَاثٍ: الثَّيِّبُ الزَّانِي، وَالنَّفْسُ بِالنَّفْسِ، وَالتَّارِكُ لِدِينِهِ الْمُفَارِقُ لِلْجَمَاعَةِ”.
